The NFL player managed to impress R&B singer Ne-Yo so much that he could not help but hit the Golden Buzzer on him. The 14-year NFL player pulled off an awe-inspiring magic trick so flawlessly that it astounded the judges and the audiences alike and received a standing ovation on the Tuesday’s episode, the Mashable reported.
Dorenbos took to Twitter to share his excitement on the new achievement.
“This just happened!!! #agt #honored thank you #nbcagt,” he wrote.
As fans wait to see the NFL star belting out some more of his amazing card tricks, it is not yet clear whether he’d continue to compete on the show since he is expected to report to the training camp by July 25 along with the other veteran Philadelphia Eagles, the ESPN reported.
During his auditions for America’s Got Talent 2016 last month, Jon Dorenbos quipped that NFL stands for “not for long.”
“It’s been my 14th year but as much we can achieve, there are new beginnings and new things to do,” he was quoted as saying by the People. “So in the off-season, I tour around and do magic and comedy.”
When asked why he wanted to be a magician when he already has a successful career in football he said, “Well, let’s be honest. The NFL stands for ‘not for long,’ so I’ve been lucky here,”
He added, “You’ve always got to have a back-up plan, and this is a pretty good one.”
The first live broadcast for America’s Got Talent 2016 is slated for July 26.
