When asked by Entertainment Weekly on June 12 at the debut of “Ride with Norman Reedus,” he said that he has been asked by many who will die in the next season, following the season 6’s cliffhanger ending episode.
Fans took online media to rant about the recent cliffhanger showing an unknown character at the end of Negan’s wrath, and speculations arise that another cast member will soon bid his goodbye.
According to Norman Reedus, he does not really like “Walking Dead season 7” spoilers.
“I don’t like spoilers, to be honest, I don’t want people to tell me the ending to the movie when we sit down in a movie theater,” he said. “I don’t like them, so I don’t do them. I like the enthusiasm behind everyone wanting to know, but it’s a good feeling to have that enthusiasm, so let’s hold onto it.”
Shedding light on the fan’s outrage on its cliffhanger finale, Norman Reedus said that it is a compliment for a production if people are still talking about it.
“I’ve been making art for a long time and you want people to talk,” he said. “Sometimes you make something just to get people to talk. The fact that people are still talking is a huge compliment to how that episode was executed and the acting in it and the writing of it. That’s a good thing. Talk sometimes its good. I know we all have phones and everything is instant gratification now.”
He added that he likes to have a controversy as people are still hooked and glued to the show.
Hinting a little spoiler for the “Walking Dead seaons 7,” Norman Reedus said that fans would have to wait and see how the “planet is going to explode.”
“Trust me. I think probably the planet is going to explode. That’s my feeling. It’s so good,” he said.”
