“The Walking Dead” season 7 had been haunted by spoilers after the previous season left fans in outrage with a cliffhanger.
It can be recalled that “The Walking Dead” season 6 cliffhanger finale showed Negan in full wrath to an unknown character, whom he beat to death with a use of his baseball bat covered with a barbed wire.
Since then, many “The Walking Dead” season 7 spoilers were released in attempt to uncover who might have died in that final scene.
According to a report from TV Line, Daryl might be the victim of Negan’s wrath, saying,” Having blown up Bud and his team of Saviors, and gone head-to-head with Dwight, the biker was certainly on Negan’s radar.”
At first, the report revealed that only five characters might fit in to Negan’s fury. There was Rick, Carl—who was dubbed as the “little future serial killer” Maggie, Glenn, and Abraham.
Negan noted in season 6, he acknowledged what Abraham said of being a volunteer for the honor of being a sacrifice to Lucille. Glenn also made an impression on the zombie series’ villain when he freaked out after his pregnant wife was chose to be for the batting practice.
But Negan is now speculated to have faked his potential victims by choosing Daryl on his fury’s receiving end.
Meanwhile, Norman Reedus who plays Daryl, seemed to have felt the fans’ outrage. Instead of telling them who died, he left them still in doubt.
In an interview with TV Line, he assured fans that it will all be worth the wait.
“It’s a completely brand-new world right now,” he said. “It’s very exciting. And it’s emotional. And then it’s overwhelming and emotional!”
He said he cannot reveal any details for the coming season as this was something very personal on their part.
“We’re a very tight-knit group down there [on location in Georgia], and we take it very personally, because we’re in it and living it,” he told. “Every time you see us crying on camera, those are real tears. It’s a whole day of living that s–t.”
The Walking Dead season 7 will return to AMC on October.
