The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards is happening today, August 28, 2016 at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan. Adele’s “Hello” is the most nominated video in seven categories. Rihanna will be receiving the Vanguard Award at the ceremony. Britney Spears is said to perform at the show, which wiill be her first performance on the VMA stage since her controversial performance at the 2007 show nine years prior.
