Vivo XPlay 5: World’s First 6GB RAM Owner
As always a lot of products and services are introduced, unveiled, launched or leaked before, during and after a tech event. Such is the case of the announced, first ever 6GB RAM smartphone which will be called the Vivo XPlay 5.Advertisement
The latest flagship from the Chinese phone manufacturer is set to be unveiled officially this coming March 1, so it isn’t surprising that teasers have been released and leaks have been circling around the web.
But the leaks seem to increase as the launch is approaching. This time a leaked photo on weibo from few alleged renders shows what the phone would look like. Judging on the image leaked, one can say that the phone has a border-less sleek design and has curved edges like that of the Galaxy S6 Edge.
Meanwhile, Vivo itself has been teasing the public for the past few days and has now released some key specs and features of its upcoming flagship. GizmoChina said that if it will be sticking to its tradition, the public should expect to see a new feature revealed every day until that allotted launch date.
Recently, the specs and features that have been released to the public, aside from its RAM size, is that it will be having one of the fastest chipset this year which is the Snapdragon 820. Tech Worm adds that XPlay 5 will be coming with a dual-edge display that will have 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and will probably support quad HD.
So far, other details about the upcoming mobile device are still being kept in the dark by Vivo. It is speculated that Vivo Xplay 5 will be sporting a 16 megapixel rear shooter and an 8 megapixel front shooter. Rumors also say that the mobile unit will be powered by a 4,300 mAh battery and will come with Hi-Fi 3.0.
For now, the Xplay 5 stands to be the title holder for being the first phone worldwide to offer such a significant amount of RAM. That is if there are no surprises from other manufacturers before Vivo’s official launching of its latest offering.
Meanwhile, it is not clear if the said flagship will be made available for consumers outside China. So for now, the possibility of an international launch is not looking so good. All the public can do is to anticipate and wait for more teasers as there is about a week more before it comes out officially.
