The Model 3 was unveiled by Tesla during a highly anticipated event at the Tesla Design Studio in Hawthorne, California last March 31. The immediate feedback was incredibly positive. According to Tesla founder and Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk, his company had managed to get as much as 180,000 order for the Model 3 just 24 hours after its grand debut.
Meanwhile, the number kept growing in the following days. After just a few days, the orders for the Model 3 went up to 253,000 and during the weekend after the debut, Tesla managed to secure as much as 276,000 orders. Should all orders go through, Tesla is looking at sales amounting to around $7.5 billion for the Model 3’s first week alone. So, it only makes sense that Tesla would want to generate more sales in the coming weeks. And how else will they be able to do this, but with a killer video.
This is believed to be the reason why a Model 3 has recently been spotted roaring through the streets of California. According to a report from car and bike, Tesla’s newest car model is currently being filmed for a video shoot with the help of its older sibling, the Model S. In fact, the Model S was said to have been fitted with a camera unit to help film Model 3 as it roared through the streets.
According to Tesla, the Model 3 is capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in just under six seconds. Moreover, it has an impressive range of 215 miles per charge. The starting price before incentives of the Model 3 is $35,000.
