Australian motorbike stunt rider Robbie Maddison once again proves why he deserves the title “King of the Coast.” He has spent the day braving the waves at Teahupoo not on a surfboard, but on his bike.
In a video DC Shoes entitled “Pipe Dream,” the daredevil can be seen defying the laws of Physics, even of Logic, by riding a wave on his dirt bike.
This isn’t the first time Robbie “Maddo” did something worthy of his nickname. In 2009, he did a backflip across the Tower Bridge in London, and in 2008, he jumped atop the Arc de Triomphe at the Paris Las Vegas.
Aside from being a daredevil on the motorbike, he also acted as a stuntman for Daniel Craig in the James Bond movies.
In an interview with Surfer Magazine, Robbie narrated how he grew up surfing – he started when he was 8, which inspired the idea of using his motorbike along the waves. He even fantasized about attaching skis on the bike so it could ride on the water.
When asked about what it felt like doing the stunt, Robbie said, “The thing that sticks with me the most after that whole experience was how physically demanding it was.”
He further said that the exact feeling of executing the stunt “can’t really be put into words.”
