Victoria’s Secret Paris Fashion 2016, one of the most prestigious modelling gigs in the world, saw the world’s top models strut on the glitter-strewn catwalk. It is here from where Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid transformed from rising stars to supermodels last year.
The event took place at the Grand Palais, usually reserved for Chanel’s high-profile runway, marking its 21st parade. The models displayed some very striking lingerie ensembles, which included a more high-fashion and covered-up look this year.
Victoria’s Secret Paris Fashion 2016: Underwear Tips And Tricks From The Angels
According to a report by the Telegraph.co.uk, before the angels took the catwalk, they provided some very useful tricks and tips on underwears. The suggestions came directly from the Victoria’s Secret Paris 2016 fashion show backstage.
According to American Angel Lily Aldridge, it is the best resolve to take help from the professionals to find the right bra size. Meanwhile, Dutch supermodel and Angel, Romee Strijd suggested Victoria’s Secret’s no line panties for wearing with skinny jeans.
However, Victoria’s Secret Paris Fashion 2016 supermodel Martha Hunt said she prefers nude thongs with skinny jeans.
“I like a good thong, especially nude thongs because it works with any colour denim,” Hunt said. “I like the ones with a really small g-string, which just disappears. I’m so used to wearing them for work now and they are so comfortable. My tip? The thinner the string the more comfortable. It doesn’t seem like it would be, but it is.”
Both Strijd and Aldridge feel that mix and match can create a nice style statement. But Hunt, again, prefers matching her lingerie with clothes.
There were also tips for men wondering how to buy lingerie for their girlfriends or wives. “When it’s Christmas, I do think it should be red. I still believe in that,” Strijd suggested. “I also love the demi bra by VS which is so pretty – it’s got silver on it and it’s so romantic.”
Victoria’s Secret Paris Fashion Week: Beauty Hacks From The Pros
It was not only the Victoria’s Secret Paris Fashion 2016 supermodels who tossed in some handy advices. Marie Claire reported that the beauty experts from the Victoria’s Secret Paris Fashion week also offered a few helpful beauty hacks to help ladies understand styling better.
The wavy tresses on the models may look gorgeous, but could end up with ringlets if not done properly.
“When you’re curling hair, it’s kind of standard to take sections so you work from the back all the way up,” explained lead hairstylist Anthony Turner. “But for a more natural effect, what I’m doing is picking up a random piece of hair, curling it one way, then picking up another piece of hair, curling it another way.”
Victoria’s Secret Paris fashion week lead makeup artist Tom Pecheux said that before he adds anything to the eyes he coats the lashes with mascara. This allows the mascara time to dry up while he does rest of the makeup.
