Verizon Beats Google Fiber, Plans To Offer Internet Data Speed Up To 10 Gigabits Per Second
The competition in the Internet industry is high. Considering the challenges, offering unbelievable services is quite difficult for this industry. Whereas the challenges for other business are mostly internal, these companies suffer a lot due to outside forces.
Google overcame the obstacles and was reported to be working on a super fast internet – that is, at the speed of 1 gigabit per second. But Verizon has managed to come up with a service that is too good to be true. If things go well, the company will soon be offering a connection with data speed that is 10 times faster than Google Fiber.
Verizon’s Internet – In Detail!
Verizon is currently testing this internet service that is said to be much faster than Google Fiber. With data speed of up to 10 gigabits per second, this technology would be working on Verizon’s already existing fiber optic cable network. It would now add new colors of light to this network.
As the whole world looks forward to this development, the company is all set to take this internet speed business more seriously, planning to work towards delivering 80 Gbps in the future.
Regarding the development, Verizon’s Vice President Lee Hicks said, “The advantage of our FiOS network is that it can be upgraded easily by adding electronics onto the fiber network that is already in place. Deploying this exciting new technology sets a new standard for the broadband industry and further validates our strategic choice of fiber-to-the-premises.”
Verizon to Take Over the Internet Market?
It would not be completely wrong if we say that Verizon can take over the internet market, looking at its rapid and exceptional developments in the field. We just hope that things go well and people get to witness a new revolution in the industry.
