Two Big Deaths On ‘Doctor Who’ Season 9 Premiere Episode
Whovians – the Doctor Who fans – got a big surprise on the season’s premiere episode!
The 12th Doctor’s small screen return shows his companion (Jenna Coleman) and a friend-slash-enemy get killed by Daleks.
It was an episode that showed “a rock star Doctor (Peter Capaldi, who had a rock band in his youth) wailing on a guitar, the amazing return of Missy (a.k.a. the Master), and the big reveal that the Doctor had the chance to let the Daleks’ leader Davros live or die,” according to CNN.
Missy (Michelle Gomez), who was vaporized by the Doctor last season, made a grand entrance by stopping all the planes in the air. Describing herself as “the Doctor’s best friend,” Gomez told CNN, “this year it’s just on a different level, exploring the history of their relationship.”
After surviving as a younger Davros left by the Doctor to die, the ruthless enemy and the Doctor confront each other. When the Daleks exterminated Missy and Clara and the TARDIS as well, “the Doctor had returned to that moment with Davros as a child, and was ready to exterminate him, save his friends and subsequently, wipe the Daleks from existence” in the final scene.
The Whovians that were left hanging on the show’s ending can no longer wait to see what will happen next on the next episode of “Doctor Who.”
