His fans worldwide are convinced he did not really die and has been living a secret life. It was the video footage of a selfie that made them think so, Hollywood Life reports.
There were several conspiracy theories after his death in 1996. Fans are crazy about the rapper and the alleged new picture.
Some of the theories are too bizarre. There is a theory that says Tupac was abducted by aliens, others claim he was exiled and has since been living in Cuba.
However, now former police officer, Chris Carroll, is weighing in on the controversy. He was the first to arrive on scene during the shooting of Tupac Shakur.
The retired police officer has come out with his own evidence that counters all theories that the rapper is alive. This is likely to cause a furore among fans who wish him to be alive.
“I saw him lose consciousness and lose his life 20 years ago. I still find it astonishing that fans and people believe that Tupac is alive,” he said. Carroll added: “Tupac is dead,” Daily Mail reports.
In fact the retired police officer is the one who saw Tupac slip into unconsciousness after he was shot. He said that though the resemblance of the person to Tupac Shakur is uncanny, there is a high chance that someone could just be posing as Tupac.
He said that there is a high possibility that the video that emerged last week is a hoax. As the person in the video may be a lookalike of the rapper. Besides, it was also said at that time that Kasinova Tha Don is in fact Tupac.
The rapper died at the age of 25. Tupac was declared dead six days later without ever regaining consciousness. The shooting of the rapper happened on Sep.7, 1996.
