What could be the twist or new storyline that Hasbro and di Bonaventura Pictures are planning to introduce with the inclusion of these characters in “Transformers: The Last Knight”?
As previous speculations have suggested, the fifth installment of the franchise would take place in an era when King Arthur reigns as the leader among the Vikings. But, how the production team would attack this anticipated plot is something that the loyalists of the transforming robots must look forward to.
In a video, director Michael Bay teased about the plot of “Transformers 5” as he showed off a scene that is similar to what World War II looked like.
Comic Book noted that this could mean “either flashbacks or time travel as an important plot mechanic.”
Back in August, Mashable revealed that Liam Garrigan, the King Arthur of the ABC series “Once Upon A Time,” is reportedly in talks with the “Transformers: The Last Knight” team for his portrayal of the role in the highly-anticipated science fiction-action film.
The report said, though, that amid the rumors which claimed that King Arthur and his magician Merlin would be part of “Transformers 5,” there have been no official announcements yet about the “context of their appearance.”
In the meantime, Dark Horizons reported that a reunion is set to happen in the movie, as Bay confirmed the return of John Turturro and John Goodman.
To recall, the former played Sector Seven’s Field Agents chief agent Seymour Simmons during the first installments of the franchise, while the latter provided the voice for the Autobot medic Hound in the fourth film.
Snippets of these “Transformers 5” spoilers may be featured in the first teaser to be released in November or December, few months before its June 23, 2017 release date.
