Drift’s sparkling new incognito look was revealed by director Michael Bay on Twitter. Bay uploaded a number of images of the upgraded autobot, which made its debut in the Transformers: The Age of Extinction, the Cinema Blend reported.
In the last installment of the movie, Drift went into hiding with the other five autobots, following the large scale destruction in the Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Drift morphed into a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse so that Decepticon Lockdown is unable to catch him.
Drift joined Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and other autobots soon after and together led the autobots to victory over the decepticons in the battle that ensued in Hong Kong. It is still not clear whether actor Ken Watanabe, who lent his voice to the character in the previous film, would reprise the role.
Transformers 5 is set to hit theaters in June, 2017 and the production for the film is already underway. The film will see the return of a number of characters and the introduction of new ones as well.
