The Philadelphia 76ers are still shopping Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel though no team has come close to making it happen.

There have been rumors linking the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers among others but it seems that the Sixers are looking for someone to ramp up their point guard position.

The Sixers are crowded in the center and forward positions and the best bet is to scan other teams who may have disgruntled guards or in excess at the said spot. How about Cory Joseph of the Toronto Raptors?

Okafor for Joseph plus future draft pick?

Cory Joseph is a backup point guard but could step up to be a starter if given the opportunity. But as long as Kyle Lowry is the star over in Toronto, his best chances of rising in the NBA will likely be elsewhere.

Okafor could be of help to the Raptors up front, complimenting DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry. But before that can happen, the sophomore player needs to mature and the veterans may help mold him into one.

There is also head coach Dwane Casey who is turning out to be a good mentor and motivator. But the question is if all that can work on someone like Okafor?

The addition of future draft pick is pure to even the stock of both players. Jahlil Okafor was a high pick so that is seen more as something to sweeten the deal.

At some point, Okafor will be shipped to another team. The Raptors are not among the top clubs being mentioned though a trade for a budding guard could make sense.

The Raptors are a rising team as seen last season. Adding Jahlil Okafor could be a new weapon that Masai Ujiri will seriously consider – less the off-court issues of course.
