The Toronto Raptors and the Los Angeles Clippers will continue their campaign in the 2016 NBA Preseason. The two dark horses in their respective conferences will be facing off on Wednesday night at the Staples Center.
Toronto Raptors Aim For Second Win
The Raptors started their preseason campaign on a high note, beating title favorites Golden State Warriors, 97-93, in their first game. Toronto leaned on their strong defense, limiting the Warriors to just 39.3 percent shooting from the field, which is too low for a team featuring Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
Jonas Valanciunas had a solid outing for the Raptors, as he finished with 20 points and nine rebounds. Terrence Ross lead the team in scoring with 23 points, while DeMar DeRozan posted 15 points in 16 minutes of playing time. Toronto played without DeMarre Carroll, who is still recovering from a knee injury.
Los Angeles Clippers Look To Bounce Back From Humiliating Loss
Meanwhile, the Clippers will try to erase the memories of their humbling loss in their preseason opener. The Clippers seemed to have hit a brick wall on Tuesday night, absorbing a humiliating 120-75 loss to the Warriors at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California.
The Clippers allowed the Warriors to shot 51.4 percent from the field, including a 15-for-29 clip from beyond the arc. Curry, Durant and Thompson were too hot to handle, combining for 65 points with none of them playing more than 25 minutes in the match.
Clippers superstars Blake Griffin and Chris Paul finished with just six points and one point, respectively. Marreese Speights led the Clippers with 14 points and five rebounds, while Alan Anderson added 10 markers.
The Toronto Raptors vs Los Angeles Clippers preseason match will start at 10:30 p.m. ET. Fans can catch the action through online live stream via NBA League Pass.
