William S. Klug, a mechanical engineering professor, was shot and killed by a UCLA student who was upset about his grades, as reported by FOX News. The incident, which occurred shortly before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, caused the students and staff at the Westwood campus to barricade themselves in classrooms and offices. The identity of the gunman has not been released.
Cincinnati Zoo incident: Michelle Gregg’s 911 call released
The 911 call made by the mother of the 3-year-old boy who fell into the moat of a gorilla’s exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo has been released, as reported by Heavy.com. The 450-pound gorilla named Harambe was shot by the zoo’s response team to save the boy’s life.
Michelle Gregg, the mother, can be heard in the recorded call saying, “My son fell into the zoo exhibit at the gorillas. The Cincinnati Zoo, my son fell in with the gorilla. There is a male gorilla standing over him, I need someone to contact the zoo please.”
Indiana man fatally shoots 3 people in four-day spree
Three people were killed in a period of four days in an incident the police are likening to the plot of the movie “The Purge,” as reported by NBC News. Jonathan Cruz from Indiana was charged with felony murder on Wednesday. According to the prosecutors, the victims were chosen at random. Cruz was held on $200,000 pending an initial hearing on Thursday.
