Uber driver suspect in Michigan shootings
Jason Dalton, an Uber driver, has been arrested for the shooting of six people in Kalamazoo. According to Reuters, Dalton has been accused of shooting at random in parking lots outside an apartment building, a car dealership and a restaurant. In addition to those dead, two other people were injured in the incident. It could not determined whether Dalton was working for Uber during the time of the incident, which lasted for five hours.
Shark pictured dragged out of water, pinned down by man
A man dragged a shark out of water and held it down while he was being photographed, the Guardian reports. The shark, the publication reports, was in the shallow waters of Florida where it got stuck. It was then returned to the water. The video of the incident was posted on Facebook by Ashleigh Walters of WPTV, who said in her post that the shark “did not resurface for several minutes.”
Oklahoma highway collision wounds 14
A highway collision in Oklahoma on Sunday wounded 14 people,with at least two injured severely. The incident, which occurred on US Route 75, involved a church van with 11 passengers that was struck from behind. While two of those wounded were life-flighted, nine others were transported to Tulsa area hospitals. NBC News reports that the conditions of those injured have not been made clear.
Astronauts say they heard “outer spacey” sounds
A whistling sound was heard by astronauts orbiting the far side of the moon, Independent Online reports. Calling it “weird music,” hidden NASA recordings reveal that the Apollo 10 crew was out of contact with Earth. During the time they were passing the far side of the moon, the astronauts were talking about “outer spacey” sounds captured by a recorder in their module.
