A letter from the Supreme Court’s doctor has revealed that Antonin Scalia suffered from a number of ailments, including coronary artery disease, diabetes and obesity. According to Presidio County District Attorney Rod Ponton, who cited the letter on Tuesday, the autopsy wasn’t required as there was nothing suspicious about the justice’s death. The letter said that “significant medical conditions led to [Scalia’s] death.” Other ailments such as sleep apnea, degenerative joint disease, and high blood pressure were also mentioned in the letter, Daily Mail reports.
Central, southern California experiences mild earthquake
Central and southern California felt tremors from an earthquake that was centered in Bakersfield. No injuries and damage to property have been reported. The earthquake, measuring 4.8, struck on Tuesday after 4 p.m. and occurred at a depth of 14 miles, Tulsa World reports. Residents in Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles also felt the quake. Several aftershocks followed the earthquake, the largest of which measured 2.6.
