Trump’s national field director resigns amid staff shakeup

Stuart Jolly, Republican front runner Donald Trump’s national field director, resigned on Monday following a staff shakeup, CNN reports. The development came two days after the business mogul promoted his national political director Rick Willey over Jolly. In an interview, Jolly said, “I left. I wasn’t pushed, I wasn’t shoved, I wasn’t asked to leave.”

Pulitzer Prize for drama goes to ‘Hamilton’

“Hamilton,” Lin Manuel Miranda’s musical about Alexander Hamilton, was awarded the drama award at the 100th Pulitzer Prizes, as reported by the New York Post. With this achievement, “Hamilton” became the fourth musical to bag the trophy. Meanwhile, the Pulitzer Prize for fiction was won by Viet Thanh Nguyen for “The Sympathizer,” and the award for biography or autobiography was bagged by “Barbarian Days: A Surfing Life.”

Doris Roberts, from ‘Everybody Loves Raymond,’ dead at 90

Doris Roberts, best known for her role of Marie in “Everybody Loves Raymond,” has passed away. She was 90. As reported by TMZ, Roberts has been the recipient of 5 Emmy Awards, four of which she received for Everybody Loves Raymond. Some of the other shows and movies she appeared in include “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” and “Grandma’s Boy.”

Texas, Arizona high schools achieve top ranks

Six high schools from the Southwest have been ranked among the top 10 of the 2016 US News and World Report rankings of the country’s top schools, the Washington Post reports. The top four positions were bagged by Texas and Arizona high schools, while the fifth position was achieved by the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. In excess of 21,500 schools were considered in the evaluation.

The Jungle Book tops Batman V Superman

“The Jungle Book” has recorded a massive earning of $138.6 million, Deadline reports. Worldwide, the movie has grossed close to $300 million. In comparison, Zack Snyder’s “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice” has made $829.3 million. In India, “Jungle Book” has made $21.2 million in the 10 days of its release. With this, it has become the third highest grossing Hollywood movie, behind “Furious 7” and “Jurassic World.”
