At least 4 dead as storms strike Louisiana, Mississippi
Powerful storms moving through Louisiana and Mississippi have killed several people, Reuters reports. The severe weather also caused flooding across the lower Mississippi valley. The flooding in Louisiana was declared a major disaster by President Barack Obama. Three people were killed in Louisiana, as well as one in Oklahoma, due to heavy rains that reached two feet.
John Boehner endorses John Kasich
On Tuesday, former speaker of the House John Boehner endorsed Governor John Kasich in Ohio’s Republican primary, the New York Times reports. In his speech, Boehner said that he voted for Kasich based on their years of friendship, including the years they were in Congress. However, Boehner did not mention Republican front runner Donald Trump in his speech.
After 340 days in space, Scott Kelly will leave NASA
Astronaut Scott Kelly, who returned after spending 340 days aboard the International Space Station, said that he will be leaving NASA at the end of the month, SpaceFlightNow.com reports. He added that he will be involved in an ongoing research about long-duration spaceflight. His plans after he leaves NASA are not known yet, but he said, “I’ll never be done with space.”

Fields and Shapiro confirmed their announcements on social media.
Maryland police officer killed in shooting outside police station
Jacai Colson, of the Prince George’s County police force, was killed in a shooting incident outside a police station in a Maryland suburb of Washington, the New York Times reports. Two suspects in connection with the shooting have been taken into custody by the police.
Deadpool crosses $700 million in gross sales
Deadpool currently stands at a whopping $708 million in its gross sales. With this, it comes closer to the highest gross for an R-rated movie, a record of $724 million set by The Matrix Reloaded in 2003. The Ryan Reynolds-starrer also surged past Iron Man for gross domestic sales this weekend, Inquisitr reports.
