Although Clinton still leads by a margin of 200 delegates, the latest victory does suggest that Sanders could be a more difficult challenge. Clinton now looks to the contests scheduled in Ohio, Florida, North Carolina and Illinois.
Trump emerges victorious in Michigan, Mississippi
Front runner Donald Trump bagged victories in the Michigan and Mississippi primaries, enhancing his lead for the Republican presidential nomination, Yahoo News reports. A hundred and fifty delegates were up for grabs. Meanwhile, Texas Senator Ted Cruz won in Idaho. Trump maintains a lead over his rivals Cruz, Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Ohio Governor John Kasich.
Massachusetts Chipotle shuttered after workers become sick
After four of its employees became sick, possibly with norovirus, a Chipotle restaurant in Massachusetts has shut down, ABC News reports. A spokesman said that no customers have been reported sick; the restaurant would be undergoing a “full sanitization.” The spokesman added, “We do not know if the employees are ill with norovirus and no customers illnesses are connected to this restaurant. Any employees who reported feeling ill will be tested and held out of the restaurant until they fully recover.”
Second Wachowski filmmaker comes out as transgender
Following filmmaker Lana Wachowski’s revelation that she is a transgender, her sibling has come out as a transgender, FOX News reports. Lilly, formerly known as Andy Wachowski, said she has already come out to her friends and family. Lana, who came out in 2012, was the recipient of the Human Rights Campaign’s Visibility Award. The filmmaking duo is known for movies like “The Matrix” and “V For Vendetta.”
Serena Williams beats Caroline Wozniacki in exhibition
Twenty-one-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams beat Caroline Wozniacki 7-5, 6-4 in an exhibition at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, reports USA Today. Since Williams lost the Australian Open final in January, she hasn’t played a game. She also missed two tournaments because of her illness.
