Nearly 40,000 Verizon workers go on strike. Verizon workers have decided to walk out from their jobs as the company failed to reach an agreement with regards to wages, benefits and working conditions. According to the Communications Workers of America, Verizon workers represented by them and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) have been working without contract since August 2015.
Meanwhile, Verizon has been cutting staff and moving a number of its jobs offshore while enjoying $39 billion in profits over the last three years. Three strike rallies had been organized in Brooklyn, Long Island and Newark. Seen in these rallies were Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
Megyn Kelly meets with Donald Trump in private. After being bashed several times, Kelly has decided to meet with the leading GOP presidential candidate in private at the Trump Tower. According to Fox News, Kelly had requested for the meeting, the results of which will be revealed in tonight’s episode of “Kelly File” at 9 p.m./ET.
ISIS has compiled a “hit list” of Western Muslim leaders. This is what is being revealed by the latest issue of the Islamic State‘s Dabiq magazine. According to a report from The Clarion Project, the section is entitled, “Kill the Imams of Kufr (the infidels) in the West,” and it names 21 targets, including leaders in the U.S., UK, Canada and Australia.

Weapons supplier to Paris attackers detained in Spain. Spanish police said on Wednesday that they had detained Antoine Denevi, a Frenchman believed to be the leader of a weapons trafficking ring responsible for supplying weapons during a shooting in Paris on January 2015. Denevi is suspected to have armed Amedy Coulibaly, who shot a policewoman dead and took hostages in a Jewish supermarket.
Moreover, according to a report from Aljazeera, Coulibaly is also believed to be an accomplice of the Kouachi brothers who had attacked offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and killed 12 people.

The former drummer for the Beatles is canceling his performance for the June 18th All Starr Tour Show at the Koka Booth Ampitheatre in North Carolina to stand with those “fighting against the bigotry of HB2.” In a statement, he said, “I’m sorry to disappoint my fans in the area, but we need to take a stand against this hatred. Spread peace and love.”
