Tonight Show: Jimmy Fallon’s Chipped Tooth Follows His Hand Injury
“Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon’s injury after a kitchen accident in June has been followed by a chipped tooth.
Fallon posted a picture on Instagram Friday of himself in a dentist’s chair.
“Chipped front tooth trying to open tube of scar tissue repair gel for recovering finger injury,” Fallon wrote on Instagram.
“Thank you Dr. Jobe DDS! #BestSummerEver.”
Despite the injury, the host will not be missing any show. He further said that there will be a new episode on Friday night.
As reported by CNN, Fallon said, “All fixed. Just the icing on the cake.”
Hand injury in June
Last month, the host said that his hand injury had required a six-hour surgery, and that he had to be in the ICU for 10 days afterwards.
Fallon had tripped and fell in his kitchen. His ring had “got caught on the countertop when I was going down, and stuck there and pulled my finger off.”
“Apparently, the odds aren’t great and usually they just cut your finger off,” Fallon told the Tonight Show audience, as reported by ET.
“I won’t get feeling back for eight weeks,” he added.
Fallon’s massive popularity has earned him a contract extension. As announced by NBC, the contract has been extended by six years.
