Tom Hiddleston New James Bond: Theater Background Secures Role?
Could Tom Hiddleston be the next James Bond? According to Caterina Murino, he is a shoo-in for the role!Advertisement
Following the remarks of Daniel Craig that he is no longer interested to reprise his role as the famous 007 agent, the name of 35-year-old Tom Hiddleston, who has been famous for portraying the role of Loki in “The Avengers” and “Thor: The Dark World,” was added to the list of possible replacements.
Caterina Murino, the leading lady of Craig in “Casino Royale” is all for it.
She even sounded so sure that the movie’s producer, Barbara Broccoli, will “pick” Tom Hiddleston as the new James Bond because of his being a “theatre-trained actor,” the List UK reported.
“I’m a huge fan of Tom’s work,” the 38-year-old former Miss Italy who played Solange in “Casino Royale” said. “I believe Barbara will pick someone like that who has a theater background.”
Previously, in her interview with Sunday People, Murino shared that it was tiring to play the British Secret Service agent, something which the husband of Rachel Weisz might have felt himself.
“It’s hugely stressful being Bond,” the “fan” of Tom Hiddleston stated. “There’s a lot of money involved, so that also brought more tension – and a lot of that tension was on Daniel.”
It’s not easy to go back time and time again,” the Italian beauty added. “It can be tiring to keep trying to find new things in the same role.”
She noted that she “can understand why Daniel would not want to return. Bringing back the same role again can be complicated.”
In the meantime, Carter Matt revealed that Tom Hiddleston’s portrayal in “The Night Manager” as Jonathan Pine “effectively had a James Bond audition in that he got to play a master of espionage, a manipulator, and someone who knows how to look great in a suit.”
