“The Walking Dead” season 7 premiere spoilers is hinting that Rick Grimes may face a breakdown after its last season ended with a big cliffhanger showing him and his group as totally powerless over their loss against the Saviors.
The Walking Dead season 7 creator Robert Kirkman, who is also the writer and executive producer for the hit show, hinted the future of Rick Grimes.
“I’d say that’s a fair assumption,” Rick Kirkman told fans in a conversation via Reddit. “The premiere episode of season 7 is going to be hard on everyone… Rick especially,” he said.
Meanwhile. Cinema Blend’s Corey Chichizola, speculated that the character will likely have a mental breakdown.
“It looks like Rick Grimes will be at the precipice of yet another mental breakdown in Season 7,” he said in his report. “I’m sure his gross beard will somehow magically grow back so the audience can see just how broken Rick is after losing one of his own, and half of their supplies, to Negan.”
The “Walking Dead” season 6 finale entitled “Last Day on Earth” showed how Rick Grimes and his group have survived after losing a battle to The Saviors. The season finale episode also showed Rick in the mercy of Negan and Lucille, who has more power when it comes to weapon and resources.
The “Walking Dead” season 7 premiere may show how Rick deal with the guilt of losing from the battle and how he will plan for a revenge.
Also, Robert Kirkman aired his opinion about the controversial cliffhanger in the final episode of season 6, knowing fan were ranting about it in the internet.
“Scott Gimple and I spent many months going over exactly how to stage it and how to adapt that scene,” he answered. “Many options were discussed. I do strongly believe that when you watch the Season 7 premiere (if you do) you will see the two halves of the story and it will all make sense why we did what we did.”
