On the upcoming “The Vampire Diaries” season 8, Stefan and Caroline’s relationship is rumored to be shaken by Elena’s comeback.
In an interview with Candice King, who plays as Caroline in the hit vampire show, she hinted that “The Vampire Diaries” season 8 will see Stefan and Caroline’s relationship in will face tough time.
“I think Stefan and Caroline will have a great shot at having a good, healthy relationship, but then that’s not very interesting television to watch,” she told IGN. “So, I’m sure there’s gonna be a lot of curve balls thrown their way, and I hope that they make it through..”
Speculations also reveal that Nina Dobrev’s character Elena will have a comeback, which can give a great impact to Stefan, Melty said in a report.
It is known that there has been a love triangle between Elena, Stefan, and Damon, even before Elena bid her goodbye in the show last season 6.
Spoilers said that Nina Dobrev will have a comeback in the show after its last season’s cliffhanger finale that showed Damon hearing Elena’s voice from the vault he opened. Though there has not been any confirmation yet, the show’s executive producer said that it was indeed Elena’s voice.
“In this particular case, she came in and did the ADR, [short for automated dialogue replacement],” she said in an interview with TV Line. “I reached out and said, ‘We can either cobble it together from a bunch of episodes, or you can come in and see everybody and do ADR. She chose to do it in person, which was great, because it was a nice little personal Nina visit.”
She added that The Vampire Diaries is not closing its doors to the possibility of a comeback for Nina Dobrev, though she respects the actress’ decision to leave the show.
“It’s what she and I kind of agreed on when she decided to move on, and it’s what I’ve got in my head,” showrunner Julie Plec said. “Obviously things can change throughout time, if the show goes on longer than we expect it to, or if we all collectively decide it would be fun to bring her back earlier, and she wanted to.”
