In a Twitter post, the 43-year-old actor, who is set to star as the major opponent of Shazam in the latter’s first standalone movie, declared that he wanted to see himself as Black Adam in a battle with the Man of Steel, ComicBook.com reported.
“Won’t happen in the first movie, but nothing would make me happier,” he tweeted on Monday when a fan asked him if he wants to pick a fight with Superman. “He’s got it comin’. #BlackAdamVsSuperman #Shazam.”
According to the report, The Rock’s upcoming Black Adam is more than capable to match the caped superhero, considering that their strength and speed are almost of the same level.
However, before his fans gets excited with the thought and before “The Fast and the Furious” actor becomes carried away of his dream fight, it was noted that he needs to show off his abilities first during his bout against Shazam on April 5, 2019.
On the other hand, Variety revealed that the wrestling champion and Kevin Hart are in talks with Sony Entertainment for the reboot of Robin Williams classic “Jumanji.”
The upcoming adaptation is expected to present a new approach to the original 1981 adventure book by Chris Van Allsburg.
It was pointed out the awesome chemistry between The Rock and the 36-year-old “Scary Movie 3” actor indeed noticeable, especially when they co-hosted the MTV Movie Awards.
Prior to this project with Sony, it was disclosed that they may be seen first in the New Line action comedy “Central Intelligence.”
The first movie together of The Rock and Hart is expected to be released by July 28, 2017, with Jake Kasdan as the director and Matt Tolmach as the producer.
