Mark October 6 on your calendar as “The Flash” will return for a new season. CW has released a new trailer of the show where you get a glimpse of Jay Garrick played by Teddy Sears. The character first made its appearance in Flash Comics #1 back in 1940. This time, Jay will introduce the concept of alternate universe to the Barry Allen.

The season 1 finale of the TV series teased the appearance of Garrick. His helmet tumbled out of the wormhole which opened over Central City in the last season.

“The Flash” is one of those series highly anticipated this fall. The series was adored by viewers throughout the season.

The casting was announced in Comic Con and news of Jay Garrick featuring in the show was announced, too. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said, “Having Jay Garrick come onto the show was one of our earliest ideas. It is so exciting, as we rush into season two, that we finally get to bring the Crimson Comet to life.”

The season will show Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, Shantel VanSanten as potential Barry Allen love interest Patty Spivot, and Tony Todd as the voice of the villain Zoom. The season 2 of “The Flash” will premiere on Tuesday, October 6 at 8 p.m.
