The much awaited return of “The Flash” happens next week with viewers expecting a lot of changes. Most of this is thanks to the efforts of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) who altered the timeline when he saved his mother on the season finale of season 2.
That said, a different kind of world was expected to kick off “The Flash” season 3, some of which may have already been seen through trailers. Barry finds himself in a whole new world, an alternate timeline as reported by Game Spot.
“Kid Flash” Is Born
Aside from “The Flash”, season 3 will see the debut of “Kid Flash” aka Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale). With a different world, it seems that Wally will be the actual superhero of Central City.
With technically two speedsters for season 3 of “The Flash”, the villains have doubled-down as well. There is “Savitar” and “Eobard Thawne” already teased in the trailers plus a whole lot more expected as the series progresses.
Other speedsters expected to appear at some point of “The Flash” season 3 include Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp) and Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) who will appear in some episodes.
Garrick will reportedly come up in episode 2 while Jesse will make her return on episode 3 of “The Flash” season 3, iDigital Times reported. Garrick will be giving Barry some advice while Jesse will return together with her father from Earth-2, Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh).
Harrison and Jesse will travel back to Earth-1 in an effort to seek aid from Team Flash to talk her out of using her powers. Seeing that it will be an entirely different world, this should be something interesting to see.
Also, Wally and Jesse had a bit of a ‘thing’ going before the Wells went back to their actual earth. Will this be rekindled? How did Jesse discover her powers? Was it a result of Barry’s time-altering decision?
“The Flash” returns for its third season on Oct. 4 on CW.
