“The Big Bang Theory” season 9 finale is set to reveal the biggest shocker in the show’s history. Rumors have it that Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) could be brothers!
According to Entertainment Weekly, this particular theory sparked when it was noticed that a sudden connection between Leonard’s father, Alfred (Judd Hirsch), and Sheldon’s mother, Mary (Laurie Metcalf) was happening.
“An unexpected attraction springs up between Sheldon’s father and Leonard’s mother,” the show’s executive producer Steve Molaro revealed. “There’s a shared dislike of Beverly and a genuine fondness of each other. Leonard’s father, it turns out, is a pretty charming guy.”
Do you think there is a possibility for the parents of the scientists to end up in each other’s arms? Well, if that would happen, it is likely for Sheldon and Leonard to end up as brothers at “The Big Bang Theory” season 9 finale, something which might urge the former to forge a “Brother Agreement.”
As to how Alfred would be part of the picture, Molaro shared that it has something to do with the informal gathering which Penny (Kaley Cuoco) would call for.
“Penny thought it would be nice to have a little informal ceremony to renew their vows and this would be an opportunity for them to actually invite their friends and family to be there for it,” he dished about the get-together that would happen following the admission of Leonard’s mother Beverly (Christine Baranski) that she was unhappy about not being invited to her son’s wedding. “That opens the door for us to meet Leonard’s father, Alfred.”
Considering that Alfred and Beverly do not “have a good relationship,” do you think the former would develop a special feeling for Mary during “The Big Bang Theory” season 9 finale?
In the meantime, Hirsch shared with USA Today how he became part of the CBS TV series.
“I said, ‘I love that show,’ ” Hirsch narrated about the moment when Galecki asked him to play his dad’s role. “That it has lasted this long is a tribute to how well-written and acted it is.”
