The Big Bang Theory Spoilers: New Cast Member?
“Star Trek” plays a significant role in the lives of The Big Bang Theory’s cast so when the management announced William Shatner’s possible appearance on the show, everyone simply got ecstatic.
Though it would have been a big turning point to have him on the show, reports say that Shatner himself has already rejected the chance to be part of the show.
“I’ve had several conversations with the creators, and what they wanted me to do, didn’t seem to be exactly right, so I said ‘find something that’s better’. They may have taken umbrage at that, I’m not sure. They wanted me to play myself a little obliquely, and they said it would work out, but I needed more assurance on that.” Shatner told Digital Spy.
It looks like Captain Kirk simply did not like the the script. He states that he would have accepted the role if he was offered a different scenario.
