Ben Higgins and “The Bachelor” season 20 winner Lauren Bushnell are reportedly no longer engaged. Allegedly, the spark that made Higgins choose Bushnell is gone.
Citing a report by “In Touch Weekly” magazine, Wet Paint shared that Bushnell caught the 26-year-old software salesman from Warsaw, Indiana telling another woman some sweet words. The insider dished that the 25-year-old flight attendant from Oregon is “having a very hard time getting over the fact that Ben told another woman ‘I love you’ within hours of proposing to her.”
The insider even added that the two have been arguing non-stop for the past months. “These last few months have been brutal. Ben and his fiancée have been fighting non-stop,” the insider shared. As such, Higgins “feels emotionally dumped” about the their present situation and is looking for a way to leave. “At this point, the romance is gone between them,” the unnamed source added.
However, a more recent report by ET Online appeared to have debunked the split rumors. The site noted that the soon-to-be-married couple looked happy while enjoying their vacation in his hometown.
The two’s Instagram accounts can attest to their close relationship as well. In an Instagram post, the latest leading man of the ABC dating reality show shared that he has finally reunited with his family, and this time, he’s visiting with his soon-to-be wife. “This weekend my whole family is reuniting in Indiana,” Higgins captioned a photo with his parents. “Also, @lauren_bushnell and I are heading back to @bakeryouthclub to hang out at their annual fundraiser. If you are around come say hi!”
In another Instagram shot, Lauren Bushnell was seen standing beside a horse. “Back in Indiana,” he described it. As with the Oregon beauty, she captured her fiancé fiddling his phone. “Woke up like this,” she wrote.
