The Last Chance Gas Station from 1974’s cult classic “Texas Chain Saw Massacre,” the location where Leatherface murdered his teenage victims, will be transformed into a barbeque joint.

The site will be constructed into a BBQ joint named We Slaughter Barbecue, Hitfix reported, with the appearance remaining the same as it was in the movie. The news was announced by the restaurant on their Facebook page.

Owner of the restaurant, Roy Rose, said in 2015 that the restaurant will be a “horror barbecue resort,” as reported by KXAN. He added that it will also have an outdoor stage and a lodging option.

“We’re going to build a horror barbecue resort,” Rose said. “We’re going to put cabins in the back for all the fans who want to come and stay the night.” In addition, We Slaughter Barbecue will also have a shop that will sell memorabilia from the widely popular horror movie.

“It’ll be a safe, and fun and scary place for families and everybody to come and have a good time,” Rose added.

The restaurant has also found an investor in Ari Lehman, the actor who played Jason Voorhees in the original Friday the 13th.

A March 25th update, according to the Facebook page, reads, “We are restoring the Smoker House saved as much original wood as possible, added some from another barn that had fallen down… Put concrete underneath… This time the Texas Chainsaw Massacre Gas Station is being restored in a correct [manner]… Looks awesome… Let me tell ya chainsaw fans.”

The resort will open in July.

“Leatherface,” a prequel to the Chain Saw Massacre, is scheduled to hit theaters later this year.
