What's This?

It seems Tesla’s referral program is back, and car buyers are entitled to a $1,000 credit when they purchase a Model S or Model X using a specific code.

Tesla has long been working towards improving its referral program, having gone through three programs already that featured different rewards, discounts and regulation. The last referral program ended back in mid-April where Tesla offered a credit of $1,200 that can be used towards home charging installation or in the purchase of a new Model S.

That incentive was aimed for new Tesla buyers. According to a report from electrek, Tesla also offered its referrers a chance to win a Model X Ludicrous P90D as well as a tour of SpaceX’s factory for each referral, which was given a maximum of three. Initially, the plan was to pick the lucky winner from a draw. Later on, however, the winners were picked through a competition involving having the most number of referrals instead.

For this particular referral program, it seems that the$1,000 credit cannot be applied for a purchase of a new Model S or Model X. In that case, it’s safe to say that the new credit can be used other Tesla accessories and services instead. Tesla is yet to release further details on its new referral program.

On the other hand, electrek also reports that Tesla is currently offering its Mobile Connector charger bundle at $100 off. The bundle, which comes with two adapters, a storage bag and a mobile connector main unit, reportedly used to retail for $650. On the other hand, you can also get a Corded Mobile Connector without the adapters for $520. Meanwhile, the Wall Connector with 8.5″ cable currently goes for $500.
