What's This?

The powerful big guy is back. During EVO 2016, Tekken 7 producer Katsuhiro Harada announced the return of Bob and the addition of a new character, Master Raven.

According to Bandai Namco’s press release, “Introduced in TEKKEN 6, Bob (full name: Robert Richards) is an American fighter that practices Freestyle Karate as his chosen fighting style.”

Bob first appeared in Tekken 6 before returning to follow-up titles such as Bloodline Retribution. The character also appeared in Tekken 3D Prime, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Street Fighter X Tekken, as pointed out by Polygon.

At first glance, Master Raven appears to be a new face for longtime players. It should be noted, though, that the Tekken series already has a character named Raven. Harada, in a tweet after the big reveal, explained that MASTER Raven is the “boss” of the original Raven. Any backstories the two might share is still unclear as of writing.
