“Teen Wolf” will not end as originally planned in Season 5 as MTV already announced that season 6 was already approved – to the delight of the fans who have been worried about seeing the last of their beloved characters in the Season 5 finale.
The fans of the hit TV series from all over the globe were overjoyed of the news but “Teen Wolf” showrunner Jeff Davis was surprised and completely perplexed on what awaits his well-loved characters in Season 6.
“We’re still debating that because, I have to be honest, I thought Season 5 was it. I thought we were ending. I have no idea what’s going to happen with Season 6.”
Davis also said in his The Hollywood Reporter interview that he would let others take over the showrunning in case the show will extend beyond the sixth season.
“Who knows if [that] will be the last season or not. [But] beyond season six, I’d love for someone else to take over the show. If it still has life, if there are still stories to tell, that would be great,” he said.
He also gave teasers on what fans will see in Season 5B which will be back on air early 2016. Davis revealed that the main characters will not be graduating high school yet.
“One of the things we don’t really do on ‘Teen Wolf’ is those teenage tropes, like graduation or prom. We’ll see if we ever get to graduation, but they won’t have graduated by the end of 5B.”
Although the season 6 schedule is not yet known, Moviepilot reported that the first promo will be on October 9, and two more in November and December this year.
The “Teen Wolf” cast are coming to New York Comic-Con on October 9 and will assemble on the Javits Center’s Empire Stage to discuss what’s going on in Season 5A and give a preview on what fans will expect in 5B, according to TV Line who will be the moderator of the event.
