While some fans might have been expecting for more bloody episodes, the latest news updates have suggested that there could be a major twist in the upcoming season.
Accordingly, the new season of the MTV supernatural television series will explore a new plot to give a different take on the villains that are expected to roam around the Beacon Hills.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Jeff Davis shared about this exciting storyline for Teen Wolf season 6.
Teen Wolf Season 6 Scarier Than Ever?
He hinted that instead of showing off a constant bloodbath, the villains, particularly the Ghost Riders, will actually be a “mysterious group of supernatural henchmen who wield a surprising power” whose aim is not to start fights. Instead, they would just be using their efforts to finally find a way to get out of Beacon Hills.
Along this line, he pointed out that the sixth season would still be scary but on a different scale.
“We’ve had seasons where there’s just bodies dropping everywhere, and we wanted to do something frightening but different,” he dished. “What’s scarier than death? Being forgotten. Being completely erased.”
Davis also revealed in the newest set of “Teen Wolf” season 6 spoilers that the connection between Stile Stilinski (Dylan O’Brien) and Lydia Martin (Holland Roden) would be more than being mere friends and go beyond being each other’s crush.
“They have something special,” the showrunner disclosed. “We decided that this is the place to show that they’ve gone from a simple crush to friends to something deeper.”
As to when these episodes would finally premiere, the network has not made any announcements yet. However, Australia Network News theorized that it could be in November already, or maybe later.
It can be recalled that Teen Wolf season 6 star Dylan O’Brien met an accident on the set of his upcoming movie “The Maze Runner: The Death Cure” a few months ago. Since he is still reportedly recuperating, it may take a while before filming wraps up.
