What's This?

While everyone’s at the Levi’s Stadium or stuck in front of their TV’s on Sunday, the 2016 Grammy Awards officially announced that Taylor Swift will open this year’s awarding ceremony. Is the opening performance from Taylor a premonition of a Grammy this year?

The official account of the Grammys took to Twitter saying, “It’s true! @taylorswift13 will return to the GRAMMY stage for a performance at the 58th #GRAMMYS Feb. 15 on @CBS!” According to USA TODAY, Taylor Swift will sing a song from her Album of the Year nominee, “1989.” The song she’s about to perform is not up for its own award.

Because she has several songs from her “1989” album that was nominated, she has to pick wisely. The “1989” singer will have to choose from the 11 songs to perform on the stage. People are rooting for her to sing anything from “Out of the Woods,” “I Know Places,” “Wildest Dreams,” or “Wonderland.”

Whatever she performs on Monday will surely be a blast. The pop singer has seven Grammy nominations this year. Aside from the Album of the Year nomination, Taylor Swift is up for 6 others: Best Pop Solo Performance for “Blank Space,” Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Bad Blood,” Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Music Video for “Bad Blood,” Record of the Year for “Blank Space,” and Song of the Year for “Blank Space.”

Whatever she chooses, fans and supporters will definitely enjoy it. Other artists set to perform at the stage are Carrie Underwood, Sam Hunt, Little Big Town, and Chris Stapleton. The 58th Annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS at 8 p.m. on Monday, February 15.
