The British Academy Film Awards 2016 are over. We have the list of BAFTA winners. The awards include very popular names and some new ones.


“Brooklyn” won outstanding British film. The list of films includes “45 years,” “The Lobster,” “The Danish Girl,” “Amy” and “Ex Machina.”

“The Revenant” won in several categories. The movie won Best Film. Leonardo DiCaprio won the best actor for his role in the movie. The film also won in the best cinematography category and Best Sound. Alejandro González Iñárritu also won. The movie won lots of awards that night. Brie Larson won the best actress for “Room.”

One more movie that won numerous awards is “Mad Max: Fury Road.” It won Best Production Design, Best Costume, Best Editing and Best Makeup and Hair.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” became the BAFTA winner for the best special visual effects. The EE Rising Star is John Boyega, and he was voted by the public, reports Coming Ssoon.

Mark Rylance won the best supporting actor for the movie “Bridge of Spices.” Kate Winslet won the best supporting actress for “Steve Jobs.” Naji Abu Nowar became the winner for outstanding debut by a British writer. “The Big Short” won the best adapted screenplay. “Wild Tales” won the Best Film Not in the English Language.

With some surprise entries after plenty of speculations passed around, the list of BAFTA winners is ever so fulfilling.
