What's This?

As  “Supergirl” season 2 moves to CW, character Cat Grant was speculated to be dropped off from casting due to the transfer of locations.

Supergirl season 2 will now be filming in Vancouver as it transfers to CW from CBS, which was taping in Los Angeles. In this light, Calista Flockhart is on discussion with management if she will be continuing her role as Cat Grant.

Michael Ausiello of TV Line said that Calista Flockhat may not be included in a couple of episodes for the coming “Supergirl” season 2 but it does not mean that she will be completely written off in the cast.

“You may lose her for an episode or two (or three… since there’s no way Calista Flockart will be moving to Canada full-time), but I highly doubt you’ll lose her completely,” he said.

TV Line was referencing to the network president Mark Pedowitz who earlier said that the crossover of “Supergirl” will be a big one.

“We are thrilled she wants to continue with the show and we’re happy to have her in whatever capacity,” he said, adding that there is an ongoing discussion with the actress.

Meanwhile, lead star Melissa Benoist told Variety that she is not surprised that “Supergirl” will be joining CW’s jampacked superhero series for its second season.

“I think it’s logical. I think it’s such a good fit — it feels like the right shoe size now,” she said.

She added that the crossover will lead to a great interaction between the superheroes.

“I think the sky is the limit for crossovers,” she said. “That’s what’s so great about these characters and that we’re all on the same network now and we’re all in the same universe, technically. I think people want to see all of them interact and fight together.”

“Supergirl” season 2 will now be joining CW’s superhero series like Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
