What's This?

The Sundance Film Festival has been doing a great job encouraging original storytellers since 1985. Many films launched in this festival have gained critical acclam along with commercial success. The objective of the festival has always been to introduce the audience to authentic storytelling.

Last week, details of participants in the 2016 Sundance Film Festival were declared. On Monday, the list of movies to premiere under the “non-competition” categories has been revealed. The film world is gearing up for the upcoming festival, and the audience is excited to catch a glimpse of the films.

A bunch of highly anticipated films of 2016 will be premiered in the festival, and the list released on Monday include films under categories Premieres, Documentary Premieres, Sundance Kids, Spotlight and Special Events. Along with the impressive collection of documentaries, the festival will also showcase a range of fictional films, and the Spotlight series will show the Sundance-approved films that have already debuted elsewhere.

The list of films to be premiered in the festival also includes sufficient star power. Films from the industry veterans like Whit Stillman, Todd Solondz, Ira Sachs, Kenneth Lonergan and many others are included in the list of premieres. The 2016 Sundance Film Festival will start from January 21 and will continue for the next 10 days.
