After fans watched the recent released Suicide Squad, the audience were left puzzled. While a lot are still under debate, David Ayer decided to give fans some explanation on The Joker’s scariest physical trait.

The director of Suicide Squad finally revealed the reason behind the Joker’s abnormal teeth.

David Ayer told Empire that this was his “personal thing” and “less about a larger connection.” Joker killed Robin and Batman basically smashes his teeth out and locks him up in Arkham Asylum.

It’s in the asylum where Joker would have done the ‘damaged’ tattoo as a message to Batman. The message reads, “You’ve damaged me. I was so beautiful before and now you’ve destroyed my face.”

Judging the director’s take on the reason, there’s a possibility for The Joker’s back story in DCEU to be explained with “A Death in the Family” storyline. Furthermore, “Suicide Squad” failed to give us a deep insight on The Joker. Fans can probably expect it be a main part of the script in Ben Affleck’s Batman solo movie.

Harley Quinn was also responsible for the death of Robin in DC Universe. So the fictional character would also have a significant role along with The Joker in an upcoming DC film.
