It’s quite comprehensible that some DCEU fans doubt Jared Leto’s portrayal of Joker in Suicide Squad. After the benchmark set by Heath Ledger in Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, there have been debates about Leto’s version and its appeal to the comic book masses.

David Ayer’s Joker seems to be an adaptation of the character from the DC Comics. So far, we have seen glimpses of Joker in trailers. But after EW’s interview with Leto and Ayer, fans now have an idea what to expect.

Leto revealed that he visited psychiatrists and their patients to understand their motives/drives. One could only imagine how far the actor went to give the audience a jaw-dropping portrayal. But today, the Oscar winner decided to upload a creepy image of himself as the Joker, giving us a sneak peak of his personality in the movie. You can check out the image below.

In other news, a new poster was shared on Suicide Squad’s official Twitter page. A closer look at the poster may reveal a teaser to the ultimate supervillain in the movie. Although producers have been teasing the main villain as The Adversary (a mysterious character), the image below looks similar to the Joker.

The rest of the poster reveals the primary weapon of all members of Task Force X. We can easily spot Harley Quinn and Katana’s choice of weapons in the image.

A new TV spot was also released yesterday. The footage contains new scenes of Joker, Harley Quinn, Katana and others from the movie. Suicide Squad will release on August 5.  Warner Bros. also confirmed the cast’s appearance during the San Diego Comic-con.
