The latest Star Wars Rogue One spoilers have revealed why Jyn Erso will lead a group of warriors in getting the Death Star plans.


While the other “Star Wars” films have focused on the lives of the Skywalkers, the first-ever stand-alone film of the “Star Wars Anthology” will have the character portrayed by Felicity Jones as the center of its plot.

This might have stirred the imagination of some solid fans of the American space opera movie series, and they might have started to wonder why a rogue will steal the limelight from Luke Skywalker and his entire clan.

What could have these spoilers been saying about the relevance of Jyn Erso in the story of Star Wars Rogue One was really given a special episode to discuss it?

On Twitter, a promo clip of the upcoming film teased about the major role that the 32-year-old actress’ character will play.

“The official second trailer for ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,’ in which Jyn Erso leads a group of unlikely heroes to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction,” the caption that came with the video read.

Based on the screenshots of the newly-released clip, it can be surmised that Jyn’s father, Galen Erso (Mads Mikkelsen), played a pivotal role in building the battle station.

His words to the young – “whatever I do, I do it to protect you” – have hinted about his relevance in carrying out the said endeavor.

The new set of Star Wars Rogue One spoilers from CNet has also suggested about the optimism and determination of Jyn towards achieving success.

“Rebellions are built on hope,” she declared, while Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker’s cyborg-ified character) screamed “Save the rebellion! Save the dream!”

Star Wars Rogue One is set to hit the theaters on Dec. 16.
