The next installment following Star Wars: The Force Awakens will commence on May 2017; it’s a good thing that Garth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to release sooner, about a hundred and forty days ahead of the former. Given that, leaked photos reveal that a new X-Wing will be featured and that a new character for the May 2017 release will surface. Excited yet?
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has been recognized as the third highest-grossing film of all time, ranking behind “Titanic” and “Avatar.” Following its success, Disney announced that fans may have to wait until May 2017 to see the next installment.
However, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” by Garth Edwards will be released sooner than the previous one. In fact, TMZ already released a leaked photo of what the X-Wing will look like in the movie and how the Abu Dhabi set looked like while they were filming.
According to the report, the new X-Wing featured in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” comprises of two engines the wing separates downwards through the middle. However, the second ride for Rogue One would be in black with orange and white details.
In fact, it was reported that the X-Wing may be ready for take-off in Rogue One as was seen on set at Pinewood Studios, Britain.
Furthermore, spoilers also reveal that there will be a scene where two bounty hunters would cross paths with five Stormtroopers upon investigating a cashed X-Wing. Different from that of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” which featured paved roads, the set for Rogue One shows different streets.
The buildings would also be old-school, carved with Tatooine but installed with high-technology walls. The X-Wing was reported to have crashed against a building before hitting the ground.
In other news, it was reported that the third installment following “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will showcase a new Han Solo. Set to release this May 25, 2018, Disney has announced that they will start filming for the movie as early as January 2017.
In fact, it was also revealed that Han Solo may appear in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, set 10 years before events in “Star Wars: A New Hope.”
Catch the release of Star Wars Rogue One this December 16, 2016.
