On Monday, Lucasfilm and Disney released the first production trailer for the forthcoming “Star Wars: Episode VIII.” And the production companies made a public declaration that filming of the picture is underway at Pinewood Studios outside London.

CNN claims that the video doesn’t unleash any obvious piece of information; however, the video focuses on the character Rey meeting up with Luke Skywalker at the final part of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Star Wars reports that Star Wars: Episode VIII is penned and helmed by Rian Johnson and goes by the storylines introduced in The Force Awakens. The upcoming flick welcomes back cast members Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, and Andy Serkis.

Star Wars: Episode VIII’s new cast members will include Golden Globe Award winner Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and talented newcomer San Diego native and UCLA grad Kelly Marie Tran.
