Star Wars Episode 8 Spoilers: Rey Has No Father, Just A Force Experiment, Anakin Skywalker’s Reincarnation?
As the search for Rey’s father continues in Star Wars Episode 8, other possibilities about her have emerged.Advertisement
Previous reports have suggested a number of names as the man behind her birth. Some have cited Luke Skywalker, while the others have shared that she may have come from Obi-Wan Kanobi, or could also be a descendant of Palpatine.
Who is Rey (Daisy Ridley) and why is it so important to know about how she existed?
“I hypothesize that the Empire was conducting weird Force experiments on Jakku, especially since the Emperor seemed to be involved,” Confusedcryptid wrote.
“We know that Force experiments are a thing in the SW universe, such as Darth Plagueis’s research,” the Reddit user added. “It’s even hinted that if one becomes powerful enough, it is possible to manipulate the Force to create life (heavily implied to the circumstances of Anakin’s birth).”
The said fan further theorized that “It’s possible Rey was the product of such experiments by Snoke,” a scenario that would be unveiled in Star Wars Episode 8.
Meanwhile, 9gag has a different take on the matter. While it appeared to be bizarre, it could be something that might just make sense especially to the film series’ fans. Based on the speculation, Rey could be the reincarnation of Anakin, as evident by a number of similarities noted between them.
It was shared that apart from the fact that grew up in the desert, they also displayed the same skills – from being a pilot to fixing things.
When it comes to the vision that Rey saw when she touched the lightsaber in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it reportedly sparked mainly because she is really Anakin.
