What's This?

Virtual reality is booming, and it is booming fast. A technology that has recently been launched has big names to its kitty. Some of the headsets like HTC Vive VR is yet to start shipping. Only pre-orders have been taken, but HTC  is trying to stay ahead in the race. One of its features that make it stand out is its front-fitted camera, which along with the virtual world keeps you connected to the real world as well.

“Star Wars” is the latest addition to the HTC Vive VR that would make it all the more irresistible to virtual reality lovers. LucasFilm is working on the VR version of Star Wars: Trials on Tatooine. No details about release dates are out yet. But the production company has ample time to work on the virtual reality game as the HTC Vive VR will not be shipped until April 2016. Till then, the game can be tried and tested before the release.

An LA Times reporter who experienced the Star Wars virtual reality wrote in a post, “I’m Kylo Ren. I’m standing on the desert planet of Tatooine, looking up at three moons. Dad, arriving via the Millennium Falcon, is apparently on his way. There’s a glimmer of light off in the distance. It’s the Falcon, coming toward the planet’s surface, trailed by a glowing blue hue.” He added, “A gust of wind picks up. I shut my eyes, but it’s a pointless gesture. I’m wearing a virtual reality headset, and this is a new ‘Star Wars’ VR experience created by Lucasfilm’s ILMxLAB, a laboratory for immersive entertainment.”

Doesn’t that sound interesting? Would you like to have that experience? Pre-ordering an HTC Vive VR already?
