Star Wars Battlefront Single Player Mode for PS4, Xbox One Confirmed? Leaked Screenshots Show Walker Assault, Fighter Squadron Mode

The DLC announcement of Star Wars Battlefront at E3 didn’t seem to grab the amount of attention EA was looking forward to. Although the Bespin expansion got positive feedback from gamers, most of the players may have decided to skip over the DLC for Battlefront 2.

While the sequel has been confirmed to include a single player campaign mode, what can we expect from developers at DICE until its release? Well, surprisingly an official message has teased an offline mode in Star Wars Battlefront.

According to Express, the developer’s message said, “We also have a couple of surprises in store that we know our fans have been looking for, especially those who have been clamoring for ways to have more options to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront offline. More to come soon,”

It’s possible that EA is just hyping up another DLC with an interesting game mode. A gallery of images posted on Reddit says otherwise. The visuals seem to be screenshots of Battlefront’s offline mode in the main menu. A message in the “Instant Action” dialogue box in missions says, “Enjoy epic battles offline by yourself or with a friend.”

The rest of the images revealed two options in Instant Action called Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron. Under both options, various maps like Outpost Beta, Twilight on Hoth, Jundland Wastes and many others were listed.

It’s definitely hard to hold back the excitement. However, we still haven’t received an official statement from EA, which could confirm the offline mode for Star Wars: Battlefront.

It’s possible EA is planning to release a short offline mode to get feedback from users to improve the campaign mode in Battlefront 2. Even Executive Vice President of Electronic Arts Patrick Soderlund admitted to his investor this year that they have been criticized for lack of a single-player campaign.
