With 15 months still remaining before the release date of Star Wars 8, many fans have appeared to be ecstatic already to unlock several mysteries.
In fact, for quite a while now, a number of speculations about the real father of Rey (Daisy Ridley) have emerged. There were even certain theories which claimed that she could have come from the dark side. Therefore, there is a possibility that she would turn into a dreaded enemy in the upcoming eighth installment.
Meanwhile, it was also surmised that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) would eventually release her good side in Star Wars 8. Accordingly, this theory could be possible considering that he is the son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia Organa (Carrie Frances Fisher) and the nephew of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). It is worth noting, though, that he is also the grandchild of Darth Vader (David Prowse).
As months go by, more and more speculations about the cast have been making headlines, the latest of which has suggested that Snoke (Andy Serkis) could actually be Sith Lord Darth Plagueis.
According to Heavy, fans have continued to insist that these two characters are one, and this might just be revealed in “Star Wars 8.”
However, the team behind the well-loved film series has continued to debunk this claim by pointing out that “Snoke is a character we’ve never seen before.”
Back in May, Lucasfilm story executive Pablo Hidalgo was convincing his Twitter followers to put a stop to the said theory.
Meanwhile, Serkis, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in November, shared that his role is a new character.
“No, he’s a new character in this universe. It is very much a newly-introduced character,” the “Star Wars 8” cast member said. “He’s aware of what’s gone on, in the respect that he has been around and is aware of prior events. I think it’d be fair to say that he is aware of the past to a great degree.”
On the other hand, Morning Ledger reported that Snoke might be Luke Skywalker’s grandfather.
Considering this speculation, this means that he is the father of Darth Vader.
Do you think Star Wars 8 will solve these mysteries?
